Backbone trail ride

Elevation

longest mountain ride yet... started and ended at home. initial 6.5 mile climb nearly killed me.

miles: 16.33
time: ~3 hours
hours pondering england's shocking world cup: ~3
liters of water drunk: 2, by half way
downhills that beat me: 1 (inglorious landing)
snakes ridden over: 1 (stretched across the path in the sun... fortunately i was going fast and it didnt flinch... ugh)

Sullivan Canyon ride

photos are the views from the top (the Nike missile control center), one looking to the valley and one to LA/ santa monica.  This weekend was a lot of riding and tennis. Tired.
